A Fresh Start for My Website

If you’ve had a look around recently, you might have noticed that things look a little different. I’ve finally upgraded my website from Squarespace 7.0 to Squarespace 7.1.

The old site had been ticking along for years and did the job, but it was definitely starting to feel a bit dated. Squarespace has been running on 7.1 for quite some time now, and there were enough improvements there that it made sense to rebuild the site properly rather than keep patching the old one.

That said, it has been a much bigger job than I expected. Rebuilding everything from scratch, moving products, reformatting pages and getting it all to behave has taken a lot longer than planned.

So if you do notice anything a bit clunky, please bear with me. I’ve checked everything as thoroughly as I can, but there’s always a bit of trial and error with these things. If something doesn’t work quite right, feel free to let me know.

One slightly frustrating part of the process is that I wasn’t able to bring across the reviews from my old website shop. Those have been lost in the move, even though I was able to import my Etsy reviews. It’s a bit disappointing after building them up over the years, but I’ll just start fresh and build them up again from here.
